This article is not about Afghan Hindus and Sikhs but I thought some Afghan Sikhs might find it interesting as it relates to Sikhs in neighboring country sharing the same language.

  1. Iran has about 2000 Sikh families mostly in Tehran,The gurudwara of Teheran was founded in 1941 by Bhai Ganga Singh Sabha Teheran. Religious celebrations include morning and evening prayers,Guru-Ka-Langer every Friday after the Akhand Path. Community services include establishment of a school, teaching of Punjabi and Dharmik (Divinity) forms an integral part of the curriculum.     Furthermore, Islam has also laid down universal fundamental rights for humanity which are to be observed and respected in all circumstances.
