citizenship of Afghan Sikhs in India

He [Paramjit Singh Sarna] said the issue regarding the grant of citizenship to those who had come from Afghanistan was also raised at the meeting with the Law Minister. A memorandum and factual position would be submitted soon.

Earlier a delegation of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Shiromani Akali Dal, Delhi, had met Sonia Gandhi to put across four major demands of the Sikh community before her. She gave an assurance that three of the demands would be implemented in the near future. So far as the issue of Afghan Sikhs was concerned, an effort would be made to see that they got citizenship in terms of the Citizenship Act, 1955, and the Constitution of India, Sarna said.

As everybody knows India, afghan, Pakistan ware all Indian Once and some of them 64 years ago ware also Indian even Pakistani, they are all still Indian families even if they had made some mistake like Pakistan 1947 and Afghanistan got cut off because of Pakistan mistake 1947,…… India was & is a mother of Indus valley civilization very True isn’t it,…….. It does not matter now, if you Hindu or Muslim or Afghan or The Afghan Sikhs or all other peoples…….. ………….India was and is your motherland very True isn’t it? Now how could mother India says NO to their kids if they want to come home to India ………….(Mother India is calling the Indus valley civilization to unite together in peace} …….. you all Afghan people welcome to India any time, your mother land wants you and your families back if you are not safe in Afghanistan and……………………now Constitution of India should give Indian Citizenship right away, not only based on 1955 act but also base on maharaja Ranjit singh agreement with afghan and Afghan Sikhs people to welcome in India

Bro in that way even Arabia to Indonesia, everyone’s motherland is India, because once in time India started from Arabia land to Indonesia … So, question is can India handle more citizens in his country which is already over populated. and can it pass everyone as a citizen of India. Nope, I don’t think so.

      And another thing, India who isn’t even good to their own people how can it be good to others ? Incidents like 1984, Ludhiana 2009, Kashmir 64 years, Played with Bangladesh and so on.

Most of things you wrote sir Dusean singh ji ,you are 100% Right about current India, we are all, plus Sikh people of all 3 countries from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India are victims since the death of maharaja Ranjit singh and we were all also victims of moguls for 900 years with and without Hindus than India-afghan partitions (1) forgot about Sikh –afghan people than came the………..India- pak partitions (2) forgot about Sikh people made it Bad and hard for every body now may be India Kashmir partition (3) you know why? …………. but India slowly waking up now , helping others slowly as well and India should help Sikh people of afghan, who had save Hindu from Bad Moguls ?, I mean ……………………………If Hindu families from Pakistan are slowly coming to India and becoming citizen of India.   10. all hindu and sikh brothers are most welcomed in bharat , here at present its congress govt so we cant take immediate action but if bhagwan is with us the govt will change, and we will help in every manner

    i think india is the land of brotherhood . hindu religion is the oldest religion here . then muslim brothers came here for spreading peace like khwaja sahab. then sikh brothers came here like great guru govind sahib g maharaj . i think india is the land of all religions. our sikh brother have given their shadat for free our country . so any where in this world sikhs facing problems they can come here . because its your right . at last i would say all sikh brothers most welcome in india . because u guys make our country feel proud . jai hind . sikh brothers zindabad
