AMRITSAR: A three-day 28th International Conference of Persian Teachers would be held at Guru Nanak Dev University from December 27 to 29 at Guru Nanak Bhawan Auditorium.
Stating this Dr. Shashi Bala, Coordinator of this prestigious conference said that this conference is being organized by the University in collaboration with All India Persian Teachers Association.
She said besides 150 delegates from Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and India, Ambassadors of Iran, Afghanistan, Cultural Counselors and other dignitaries are likely to participate in this conference.Shashi Bala, Head of the Guru Nanak Studies Department said that the objective of this conference is to promote and patronize the Persian language, which being one of the classical languages of India has deep impact on Punjab, Punjabi language, Literature and Culture and is also indispensable for deep understanding of Sikh scripture and Sikh history.
